We run on the desire to find unique voices from all over the world who can inspire us with their short stories. We especially welcome those writers from disadvantaged backgrounds and we are always on the lookout for diverse voices.
We are a new publication and as such our editorial team is greatly understaffed. Please rest assured all your emails and messages are read and we will respond as soon as we can.
We run a quarterly short story competition with one winner in each category being published at the end of each quarter.
Competition submission guidelines
Our quarterly competition focuses on works of sci-fi, fantasy, and general fiction.
The word limit: 2000 words.
The winning entries will be published on our new website, the winners will be sent a digital certificate and promoted across our social media platforms.
Please paste your story in the body of the email alongside a short bio/couple of sentences about who you are and don’t forget to indicate the category of your short story. Make sure to include your name and contact details. NO ATTACHMENTS

We don’t accept submissions containing sexually explicit language.
Quarterly Deadlines (2025–2026)
Submissions open at 10 a.m. UK time on the 26th of the starting month and close at midnight UK time on the 25th of the ending month.
- September 26, 2025 – December 25, 2025 (Autumn round)
- December 26, 2025 – March 25, 2026 (Winter round)
- March 26, 2026 – June 25, 2026 (Spring round)
- June 26, 2026 – September 25, 2026 (Summer round)
Winning stories will be published within 14 days of the submission period closing. If you have not heard from us within 10 days after submissions close, please consider your entry unsuccessful this time.
We accept simultaneous submissions but please let us know if you work has been previously published.
Winners will be notified via email and are requested to acknowledge and accept the award within a three-day window from the time of notification. It is important to be aware that not responding within this designated period may lead to the selection of an alternate winner.
Currently not accepting submissions from EU countries.
We don’t accept non-fiction submissions at this time.
Payment
As a magazine committed to remaining accessible to everyone, regardless of financial situation or life circumstances, we offer flexibility in the amount you pay for your submission. If you are unable to afford the full fee of $6.99, please feel free to contribute any amount you can. Simply click the Pay and Submit button and adjust the amount you wish to pay.
